Asphalt Paving in Nob Hill, Albuquerque
Driveway paving and sealcoating in Nob Hill, Ridgecrest, and the University-area historic blocks. Careful work on narrow lots, shared driveways, and 1920s–1950s homes where details matter.
Historic-home paving needs a careful hand
Nob Hill stretches from Girard to Carlisle along Central — Route 66 — and is one of Albuquerque's most beloved historic neighborhoods. Homes here are mostly Tudor, Spanish-Pueblo, and Bungalow styles built between 1920 and 1950, with mature trees, original sidewalks, and lots that are often 50 feet wide or less.
That changes how we work. Driveways here are typically 9–10 feet wide with limited turnaround. Many are shared between two houses, meaning we coordinate with neighbors. Lot access often runs past mature elms and ash trees we need to protect. And on a Tudor-revival home, a freshly-finished black asphalt driveway is part of the curb appeal — sloppy edges or asphalt slopped on the sidewalk are not options.
- Shared-driveway coordination with neighbors
- Tree-root awareness during base prep
- Hand-finished edges where space is tight
- Clean cuts at the sidewalk and curb apron
- Minimal-disruption scheduling for owner-occupied homes
